A peek inside the house for Can You See What I See? The Night Before Christmas

Carvable foam came to life as stone and wood when model maker Michael Lokensgaard shaped and painted the larger scale face of the house seen in Down the Chimney.

The completed house front is propped up and lit from within. I arranged the dollhouse-like interior of furniture, pictures, Christmas tree, and other accessories.

Using colored gels over tungsten lights, the warm glow of the interior contrasted with the cool tones of the exterior to enhance the naturalism of the scene.
